I grew up in a small town in Illinois and in those days it was a great idea to learn all about cars and how to work on them. In the fall when the new models came out I would visit every dealer in town (even Studebaker) to see and learn about the new models and the changes that were made. I especially remember the ’54 Corvette, the first SBC in ’55 with its 265 cu and later the famous 283. The ’57 Chrysler 300C was a monster and then there were the Buick', Olds, and the great Pontiacs.
