About my car

Rarity, distinction, classy looks and low miles make this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS an instant standout and head turner. After all, who can resist a modern classic with plenty of V-8 fuel-injected power and a full midnight look ! These were only around for three short years, so this generation Impala SS is always in-demand. This instant-classic stands out even a bit more. Factory black paint has proven to be a true asset as these vehicles mature into full blown classic status. This SS retains a deep gloss and shine to continue attracting attention (was just professionally ceramic coated). It also helps that this Impala has averaged less than 1,300 miles annually. Color-matched bumpers, integrated rear spoiler, and blacked out grille really helped announce this was something special from the factory. The recent deeply tinted windows complete this car's menacing dark side ! The only real hint of brightwork are places like the tastefully done window trim, badging and the five-spoke factory 17'' alloys that look like custom units but were direct from Chevrolet for this SS.
The interior is what makes the Impala SS such a great all-around classic road car. After all, there's plenty of room for family and friends to spread out across this well-preserved gray leather interior. So because this is a modern classic, it's loaded with the best features like power windows, power locks, cruise control, power mirrors, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo, and ice-cold air conditioning. There's even the modern safety of dual airbags and power 4-wheel disc-anti-lock brakes. However the best treats are what makes this a true driver machine. Power front bucket seats, an armrest center console, and a floor shift (which is unique only for the 1996 model)give this a terrific sports/muscle car feeling. Very fun to drive on the mountain roads with all the twists and turns ! The Impala SS is a true legend thanks to it's Corvette LT1 powerplant. It's a special V-8 to have in this full-size sedan, and so we are glad to see this numbers-matching motor look as fresh as day one. The fuel-injected V8 barks to life easily, idles smoothly, and it pulls like a freight train. So it makes for classic-style muscle but in a modern and versatile package. The four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive is smooth and always seems to be ready to leap into action. The suspension has been upgraded over the Caprice to handle the extra power with ease and it comes with power steering, sway bars and newer Hankook performance tires (w/deep tread). It has a brand new aftermarket cold air intake, new shocks and new performance exhaust. This low-mileage modern classic even comes with the original window sticker that has been framed.

Sorry, I've been busy. I haven't made a post yet.
