About my car

I bought this 68 Mustang a few years ago. It was not running at the time. I found that the previous owner had out the timing off by about 180'. They had told me that the 1 barrel carburetor was bad and out of adjustment. In reality it seems that they had tried to change the timing chain and put it back together wrong. I have replaced all of the following parts with many more to go.

Timing chain, Water pump, larger fuel tank, carburetor (added Holly 350), air shocks, wheels, front disk break conversation.

Currently I am installing a 5.0 EFI and a AOD transmission. We just replaced the freeze plugs and water pump.

It's has been a very slow project. I am have work done at a local shop when they have spare time, which is almost never.

I ground down and polished the Cobra intake manifold, took me about 14 hours to get it all pretty. I also honed and smoothed the inner port opening. The air should flow unrestricted for sure...

The shop has rebuilt the transmission. Converted the shifter linkage and created throttle linkage and changed the peddle assembly. Today they are working on the electrical system. Hopefully they will be able to start it backup in a few days.
