About my car
It was a basket case when I purchased it in 1994. After two years and about $20,000 I put it back as close to original as it was from the factory. The only things that did not come original on it was the rally wheels and the right door mirror. The car has the Numbers matching motor transmission and rear end. It has a big block 402. The heads, intake, exhaust manifolds are all ported and polished. It has a 515 Lift 272 duration camshaft, 10 1/2 to 1 compression. The transmission is a M 20 close ratio 4 speed, rear end is a 12 bolt posi 373 gear. It'll run low 12s in a quarter mile. There was only 1370 Malibu's made with this drive train in it in 1971.
- This car was made in 1971 and I've driven it since 1994
- The Chevrolet Malibu (2nd Gen) was in production from 1968 to 1972
