Ford Excursion Black Beauty
About my car
My dad picked up this 2005 Ford Excursion a few years back, replacing his 2001 Ford Excursion, which had well over 250,000 miles. This truck has almost aftermarket everything. The whole oil system has been upgraded with the company Bullet Proof, replacing the troublesome oil pump, known to cause a lot of trouble with it's screen breaking off. It also has an upgraded Garret Turbo (mm unknown), K&N Aftermarket Cold Air Filter, aftermarket radio, and even an Edge Tuner with Juice and Attitude. One of our most recent upgrades has been to the rear suspension with the addition of airbags. We run full synthetic oil in the truck, as well as Hot Shot Secret to prevent sticktion. This truck has been through thick and thin, having gone to a diesel shop in town that turned out to be a dangerous place to send any vehicle. For two years we had sent it there, and many problems occurred. One of which, was the problem of gasoline being put into our tank. This fried all the injectors. Not only that, it took this establishment over 2 months to figure out it was the injectors. Needless to say, we don't go there or ever recommend anyone go there. Black Beauty is a daily driver for my dad, and when we go on trips, our main truck to tow our camper with.
