About my car

This is my 99 Volvo XC70 aka Vader.

We purchased him Sept 2014 in St. Petersburg, FL for $900. Had roughly 150k miles on the clock. Previous owner neglected a lot of maintenance including the timing belt. They had replaced the cylinder head after the timing belt broke but the CVVT was incorrectly timed and the engine wouldn't build any compression on the #4 cylinder as well as when the car was running it was pouring oil from the turbo return pipe.

We got him home and immediately set to work on repairs. I replaced the timing belt and components, all new cam seals, plugs, turbo seals, everything the previous mechanic screwed up.

In the past 2 years the entire front suspension has been rebuilt, the turbo and transmission have been replaced, has dual Magnaflow mufflers, replaced the factory 15" Naiads with OE Volvo 17" Canistos, added braided stainless steel brake hoses, K&N drop in air filter, converter delete, and began to do a two tone interior conversion. Front suspension rides on TME lowering springs and Sachs C70 struts, the rear has been lowered via V70R springs and cheater mod to the stock Nivomat shocks.

He's our DD, and we plan on keeping this Sith Lord in the family for a long long time

Future plans include a 2.3 engine swap along with an 05 R exhaust manifold, Borg Warner KKK24 turbo and OE Volvo "Green Giant" fuel injectors. The 2.3 block has been shimmed, cylinder head was decked .016 and the port work was completed by me.
