My garage: Previously owned Chevrolet Corvette

About my car

I bought the 1965 corvette as a basket case in 05 and it took me 5 years to restore. It was an original California Black tag car that was purchased new from DeAnza Chevrolet in Riverside. It is a big block car with its original 396/425 engine with a M22, 4 speed transmission. It was painted back to its original Goldwood yellow color and it also has a new black leather interior in which it came new with! It also has both tops as well. It was pulled out of a barn in Fresno California in 05 where it had been sitting since 1981. It was a fun car to restore and I had fun with it, but I needed something else to restore another project corvette and wanted another C-1 solid axle that I once had. I was lucky because a friend had one and sold it to me, it's a 59, it also was in a garage for many years! It's already been a 5 year restoration and I'm not even close to being done! I hope it comes out as good as the 65! Some say I'm a glutton for punishment, but I like the challenge, and the finished product is always rewarding to me! And when this is done, I hope someday I can do the same thing with my 67 coupe! God willing! It's a great hobby!!

  • This car was made in 1965 and I've driven it since 2005
  • The Chevrolet Corvette C2 was in production from 1962 to 1967

Sorry, I've been busy. I haven't made a post yet.
