About my car
I built this 1981 Chevy Camaro in my garage with my dad over the last five years. In her original life she was a stock Berlinetta Camaro with a 1oo hp 267ci small block and an automatic transmission that did not get any respect. I decided to rebuild her to be a little more respectable...
Now she has full Detroit Speed suspension, 2" drop springs up front, Custom Detroit Speed 9" rear end, Detroit Speed 4-link, Detroit Speed mini tubs, Detroit Speed 4-point cage and 600 steering gear as well as Detroit Speed frame connectors and solid body mounts. She has a 1,000+ Hp Supercharged 9.0 Liter 540ci full roller Big block engine with rectangle port heads. Doug's full length ceramic coated headers, Spectre dual cold air intake. MSD 6Al ignition, MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD Boost timing master, Weiand 8-71 Supercharger at 14lbs of boost, Twin Holley 950 cfm blower carbs. (1900 cfm's total) Tremec TKO 600 5-speed transmission with Hurst shifter. BAER Pro 14" brake system with 6 piston calipers installed on front and rear. Entropy dual fan aluminum radiator, Dynotech engineering 3.5" 6061-T6 Aluminum racing driveshaft, Pypes 3.5" X-pipe exhaust, Custom three piece forged KWC wheels installed with BFG Rival tires (245 front & 335 rear). Vintage Air climate control system, Harwood fiberglass 3"cowl induction Hood, Stinger fiberglass front and rear bumper covers. All new glass and weather stripping, L.E.D tail lights and running lights, Billet aluminum upper and lower grills. Complete new interior including all new Autometer Phantom gauges, new upper and lower dash, Driven suede steering wheel, Schroth Racing 5-point harness, complete new wiring harness, new Dynamat, carpet, door panels & headliner. New stainless steel brake lines and fuel lines, new fuel tank and fuel system to name a few of the major items. Minus the bare body shell, every piece is 100% brand new.
