Cleaning up the engine bay 5-4-22

Wanted to try something a little different, and thought about painting the plenum. Decided to try the VHT wrinkle paint. It took a couple tries to get it to come out right. But I think it looks pretty good now. Looks better than just painting it black.

Tips: I've seen several videos where people use heat guns to try and speed up the process. I had mix results doing this. I found the heat gun method, did speed it up. But I think it also burned the paint, or somehow caused it to have a more flat appearance. I had best results doing this on a warmer day and leaving the parts out in the sun for most of the day.

Also, don't rush and think you can do this in a couple hours. Even if it looks dry, if you try and reinstall your parts, you'll mess up the finish. Let it dry overnight if you can.

Total Cost: $20
