Why I decided to go with the LS swap

This truck came with the 5.7 Vortec which was a really good and powerful engine. However one night coming back from the racetrack (wasnt running the truck or flooring it) the engine gave out. After some consideration of what engine to put I decided to go with an Ls swap and got the 6.0. I bought all my parts separate from different places. My brother helped me out with the wiring and to set the engine in since some custom fabrication had to take place. All gagues work inside, even AC works. Truck works great to use as a daily, although it does give me around 12 MPG.

Total Cost: $2,000
