1964 Satin Silver Corvette ConvertibleBeautiful and correct frame-off restoration. Satin Silver w/Black interior 327/300hp Powerglide automatic transmission.
The ’64 was considered the “Rodney Dangerfield” of mid-year Corvettes. “It didn’t get no respect!” Well that reputation was completely undeserved. The ’64 was and is a great Corvette! Because the ’63 was such a huge success and the Split Window Coupe such a legend it was as if the ’64 was following up the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show! And the ’65’s introduced 4-wheel disc brakes and the 396 big block. So the ’64’s got a bit lost in the shuffle.
However these Corvettes were every bit as good if not better than the previous years model. But as an unintended bonus it’s “no respect” status gets you some of the best values to be had in a mid-year with the ’64’s! This great looking example was in the hands of the original owner’s family since brand new! It was purchased at the legendary Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles on 8-26-64 and spent it’s whole life in Southern California.
It underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration a number of years ago retaining it’s original drivetrain and is in beautiful condition throughout!
