Well, the day came. 19 May 2019. I had the clutch put in. I had the Jeep running and I had my wife and 3 girls loaded in the Jeep ready to take it for a quick spin. As it was running, in the garage for about 15 min, my wife hops in and the dang thing dies no more than 5 seconds after the door shut.
I couldn't believe it. I tried cranking it over, checked fluids, spark, etc...No fire what so ever. So, I had to tow it.
I towed it down to a friends place. My family and I hit the road to California. Leaving the Jeep behind. Once I got to California, I made arrangements for it to get picked up and driven to Tanner 4x4 in Colorado Springs. Reputable place. They discovered that the coil had broken and cost me about 140 bucks in parts.
Before I paid to have it picked up, they said they couldn't find the Drive shaft. I left it in the Jeep, wrapped up in a plastic bag in the backseat. I called the place 4 times, and the last time led me to telling the mechanic to check with me on the phone. Sure enough, he found it.
So the next day, I arranged for my friends to pick it up. A buddy hopped in drove down a block and he said it just died. Couldn't get it started again. On top of it, apparently it leaks gas on the right side. Have no idea what that is. They spent the better part of 2 or more hours trying to get it to run. It just wasn't having it. So, now it sits, parked in the garage of my friend's place, after a tow truck came and picked it up.
