6.5 speakers weren't cutting it

Well, late last year i decided to add a subwoofer. Going down the road i always felt like my music was lacking something. I wasn't trying to build a high power system or anything, so i decided to go low power and extremely efficient. I chose a ported box with my favorite subwoofer size, 10 inch. I wanted a good quality sub and matching amp without breaking the bank. Ultimately i chose SKAR audio. I bought the DVC 2♤ and wired it to pull a 1 ohm load from the matching 350w RMS amp. Coupled with 4 ga. Amp kit and box i spent less than 150 bucks, and it sounds great and added that missing element in my music. I added a 1 farad capacitor inline to preserve my alternator life by preventing amp surges. Best part is its self contained, disconnect 4 wires and pull it out.

Total Cost: $150
