On Board Air is a must !!
- Tundra (II)
Since I now have a bed cage, that keeps my tires in one place, I need to add on board air. If you do any type of consistent off roading, airing your tires down is not only advantageous to traction, but it also is a big plus in comfort. Big tires, less air, more cushion over the hard rocks. I could have just done a portable or Co2 tank, but I like the idea of built in. Plus , I don't want to be a slave, to filling tanks. The other requirement is, that the compressor I choose, must air tires up quickly.
I also wanted to include this in the wasted space under the center of the bed rack. I did a little fabricating and made it happen . You don't even know its there, unless you pull the tires and look under them
The two open fittings are actually the train horn air control valve.
