So with a new fuel pump and fuel filter I'm now confident that the car is good for the next 90-100k miles and fuel-related issues won't leave me stranded. The big news, however, is how the car drives, rides, and handles with the new Bilstein suspension. I was very pleased with the way the car rode and handled when I first got it (2008 with 64k miles), but I'm amazed at the difference the new suspension has made. While an S8's ride could never be described as "Compliant", these new shocks have actually made the car ride better than when I first bought it. And it corners flat and is VERY controllable. Quattro de Mayo, organized by the Georgia Audi Club is the first week in May, and I'm looking forward to seeing the difference on the Tail of the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway.
