Bigger tires every tire change.
I purchased my pickup in November 2010 with 245/75R16 8 ply Firestone Transforce AT tires. I hated those tires, they were the roughest riding tire I have ever had. So in spring of 2011 I purchased a set of BFG AT KO’s, which I had run on all other pickups and suv’s over the years, in a 265/75R16 10 ply and loves them but I put a lot of miles on them in a short amount of time. In 2013 I changed out for a set of Goodyear Duratrac 276/75R16 10 ply tires and absolutely loved them. They got me through all sorts terrain, mud, snow, rocks, sand, etc. I changed those out in the spring of 2016 for a set Dick Cepek Extreme Country 285/75R16 10 ply tires. I like these tires as much possibly event more than the Goodyear’s I ran. Handle great on and off the pavement, not to loud at highway speeds, great traction in all elements. The next set if I continue on my upgrading tire sizes I will need a leveling kit or a full blown lift kit.
