Missing Bolt / loose caliper!

Jun. 4th 17

On our way home from Carlisle PA, we started hearing a scrubbing noise in the front passenger wheel. We stopped to take a look, and at first couldn't find anything causing the noise. Thankfully we were close to home and could limp her there.

On June 7th, I took the passenger wheel off to further investigate and found the top caliper bolt was gone. The sound we were hearing was the caliper riding right onto the rotor when we used the breaks, causing groves to be ground into the caliper. Thankfully I kept a couple spare caliper bolts from another car we had and fixed the problem without spending a dime! ;)
