Just so happens that we had a 260 V8 out of a Sunbeam Tiger that someone dropped off at the shop about 3 or 4 years ago. They wanted to have it rebuilt, so we rebuilt it, and about 2/3 of the way thru with the rebuild, the guy that owned it decided to he wanted to go a different route with his restoration and abandoned the engine. We were basically stuck with the engine, and has been sitting on an engine stand for years now. I decided to buy it from my boss, since it is just a bone stock engine that I can use in my 1963 Fairlane until I get my 289 performance engine completed. It will make a great cruise around engine after I get the car ready to actually drive. I also have the original 260 engine that I will pull out and save for a later rebuild, and keep on hand. So, basically I will have 3 engines for the car, which works for me really.
