G2 Caliper Paint systems

The red brembos didn't match the build plan for colors. I looked at sending them off and getting them powder coated. That would render my car out of service and cost a chunk of money. I then started looking into the G2 paint systems.

Because my car has the SRT big 6 piston calipers up front, I ended up needing to go with 2 kits. I put the car up on jack stands and and started the prep work. Once that was done I did one side of the car at a time since the clock starts ticking once you mix the paint.

At the beginning (first 2 coats) I was worried I had made a big mistake. However as the 3rd and 4th went on and it dried I was really impressed at the looks. Each side took about 2-2.5 hours to complete. Then after they dried 24 hrs I added te black high temp brembo decals. My brake calipers match the car design perfectly.

Total Cost: $88
